Our Story

Built on King Street. Fuelled by fire.

A pizza
shop on
wheels.

It started with a dare. Marcus and Priya — two broke art-school kids with a used brick oven and a set of vintage roller skates — bet their last $200 that Toronto would buy pizza from a skater before they'd call a delivery driver.

They were right. The first night on King Street they sold out in 90 minutes. Six years, 24 crew members, and over 300,000 pies later, GLIDE is Toronto's most copied, least duplicatable night-out experience.

How We Got Here

2018
The First Glide
Marcus and Priya set up a used wood-fired oven in a borrowed van, strapped on skates, and sold 47 pies on King Street West on a Wednesday night. The line wrapped the block by 1am.
2019
King St W Opens
Our first permanent location — a 40-seat laneway space with a custom-built wood-fired hearth, open kitchen, and a skate ramp out back. The crew grew to eight. The wait times grew to ninety minutes.
2021
The Dark Year — And the Breakthrough
When the world shut down, GLIDE pivoted to skate-delivered pizza across six Toronto neighbourhoods. The operation became legend. We were the only restaurant in the city showing up on time, every time.
2022
Kensington Opens
Second location, deeper culture. The Kensington Market outpost became a neighbourhood institution in eight months, earning Toronto Life's "Best New Restaurant" nod and a 3-month waitlist for their weekly skate jams.
Now
24 Skaters. Two Locations. No Brakes.
GLIDE delivers over 12,000 pies a month, caters events across the GTA, and has turned down three franchise offers. We're not scaling a brand. We're protecting a thing we love.

The fire is
the secret.

Three Rules

01

The dough is everything

72-hour cold-fermented, hand-stretched, never pressed. We make enough for the night and when it's gone, it's gone.

02

Skaters are family

Every crew member gets profit share, free gear, and the skate-name of their choosing. No hierarchy. No minimum hours. Just show up and roll.

03

Never compromise the vibe

No delivery apps. No corporate accounts. No sad pizza. If it doesn't feel right, we don't do it. Simple.

the crew.
